Our Story
It started some 22 years ago when Veronica Jones, Founder and Event Professional was growing up where she worked in the family business to manage a food stall at most of the carnivals and festivals or “all dayers” as they were known back then.
“The most memorable event was working on the Notting Hill Carnival. It was a lot of fun back then, going on way into the night, without the restrictions in place now. This left us free to explore the streets of Notting Hill, Ladbroke Grove and Westbourne Park. It was great”.
Veronica developed a passion for events and after finishing school, worked for a leading cosmetic company where she delivered exhibitions, promotional and training events. Needing more of a challenge she began freelancing and landed contracts to deliver events for Revlon, MTV, local authorities and the NSPCC. Veronica successfully completed a HND in Marketing and Business Management, a BA (hons 2:1) in Event Management and Marketing and a Diploma in Management.
Vjem Events was born in 2003.
The company has grown steadily over the years, having won commissions from 
The Princes Trust, BDO Stoy Hayward LLP, London Youth Support Trust, Ernst and Young LLP, Action for Children to name a few.
Vjem Events went on to win the Creative Growth Business award at the Haringey City Growth Business Awards 2008. The agency also reached the finals in the Growth Business and Community Involvement categories at the Archant Business Awards 2008, and the Creative and Media Business category at the Hackney Enterprise Network awards 2010.
Tigho Ayovuare, Event Manager
Meet Tigho, our seasoned event manager with a breadth of experience. As well as working with Vjem Events to deliver our own events and commissions, Tigho has worked on various public, corporate, arts, educational and cultural events. Her portfolio includes Lewisham Council’s People’s Day, Edinburgh Fringe, Sundance Film Festival and Edinburgh’s Hogmanay.
Tigho holds a BA (hons 2:1) in Event Management from the University of Greenwich.
